There are a lot of things to do in Porto while visiting and one of them is Music Festivals.
Porto has a few music festivals happening during the year, specially around summer.
We start with North Music Festival. A recent festival that started in 2016, usually two days of shows, it’s the festival that kicks-off the summer festival scene in Portugal. The festival describes itself as a “urban festival” suitable for lovers from “ Pop to Fado; World Music to Rock and dance Music”.
Next on the list is NOS Primavera Sound, a three day festival that has one of the most beautiful natural venues in Porto, the City Park. Happening in early June, Primavera Sound usually has cool warm summer nights making the music even more special.

In July, we have MEO Marés Vivas. In it’s 12th year, Marés Vivas is the biggest festival in the North of Portugal and happens on the other side of Douro, in Vila Nova de Gaia, right next to the mouth of the river and the natural Reserve.
