Sidecar Experiences in Porto

The best way to see Porto and the surrounding area A friend recommended this tour and we are so glad they did. It was such a fun way to see the city from ( quite literally ) one end to the other, plus Gaia over the river. Our driver was warm, friendly, knowledgeable and very flexible to include our preferences. We booked the trip for our first day and it was a brilliant way to get our bearings and decided which areas we wanted to return to to see more. Honestly I wish all cities offered this tour as it is much more fun than the hop on hop off bus!

We had an amazing time with João. You can tell he loves Porto and loves his job and is so happy to share it with you. He gave us an extensive tour of Porto, stopping at highlights to give us a chance for photos and to tell us information about the history of the buildings or neighborhoods. His enthusiasm was infectious and he made us feel like VIPs. It was our favorite activity in Portugal!

Wow! What a great tour of the city in the most unique way. John is a Porto native and very knowledgeable about, well, everything. The motorcycle was great fun and allowed us to go on small side streets and neighborhoods that other tours wouldn’t have been able to reach. We learned a ton about the city and its history. All the 5 star reviews aren’t lying- this tour and John went above and beyond! Do it!

A special way to discover Porto The tour was a lot of fun. We did this on our 2nd day and that was ideal. So we immediately got a good idea of Porto and nice tips. The guide knew a lot to tell and did the tour with great enthusiasm and pleasure. A fun and special way to discover the city!

Unforgettable introduction to Porto! Three hours of ear to ear smiles from everyone! Such a fabulous and unforgettable experience on our arrival in Porto. My partner, 6yr old son and I LOVED this tour. I can’t tell you how many times our son has asked us when he can go back on a motorcycle. Bikes were pristine and clean, so well kept. Joao and Peter were fantastically enthusiastic and great with our son as well as knowledgeable giving us a thorough introduction to Porto. In all honestly, this wouldn’t have been my first choice of experience but the boys wanted to do it, but I 100% stand corrected!! Do this if you can, brings joy to everyone who sees you and you too! Lots of stops with information and photo opportunities a brilliant memory of our visit and I’m sure it will be THE highlight of our whole Portugal trip. Many thanks for such a wonderful experience! We had an amazing side car tour with Pacio. He took us to places we would have never seen on our own. His knowledge and love for Porto was felt thruout the whole tour. Was very helpful with suggestions of where to eat and what not to miss! You will love this tour!

Joao is the absolute best! He made us fall in love with Portugal. His passion for his country and his knowledge of the world really shine through. It was really a unique experience!

My favorite tour! Pedro was amazing! So much fun driving around the city and being treated like queens! He showed us so many secret spots around Porto! We got an amazing tour. And very special as this was the only sidecar we saw!!

Celebrated my mom’s 70th birthday and this was a fabulous way to see and experience the city. We went at 6:30pm and the time of day was magical. Not too hot and got to enjoy the beautiful sunset. Joao was so knowledgeable but also so thoughtful in what he showed us. It’s clear how much he loves this city and his job. He did a wonderful job customizing the adventure to our needs. Lastly, the side car was so beautiful and comfortable. Because most of the ride was at low speeds, it was always easy to hear what Joao was telling us. Thanks for the experience, Joao. I highly recommend.

We choose the 4 hour food tour and can honestly say Porto Sidecar Tours was THE absolute highlight of our trip, and that’s thanks entirely to our incredible guide, João. From the moment we hopped into the sidecar, João made us feel like we were spending the day with an old friend. His knowledge of Porto’s history, neighborhoods, and culinary culture was deep and engaging — but never rehearsed or robotic like you find at some places.We stopped at a few local cafes for coffee, drinks, and snacks. Places you would never think to stop if you were just strolling. João’s personal stories and context brought each one to life. The experience culminated in a traditional Sunday lunch by the sea, in a quiet fishing village we never would have discovered on our own. It was honest, hearty, and completely unforgettable. The grilled fish and Vinho Verde......This tour gave us a true taste of Porto, both literally and culturally. If you’re even considering booking — do it. 4박5일 포르토 중 가장 행복한 경험이었습니다. 책이나 인터넷으로 알수 없었던 재밌는 이야기를 많이 알게되었고, 강가를 따라 가면서 포르토 시내에 묵었기에 느낄수없었던 상쾌한 공기를 맡을수있었어요!! 시간적 여유가 되신다면 사전에 한번 포르토를 가볍게 산책하시고 경험하시는걸 추천합니다 :-) 보지 못하고 느끼지 못했던 것들을 볼수있어 값집니다. 특별한 경험을 좋아하는 커플이라 랜드마크 찍고오기 식의 투어는 지양하는데 우린 가이드와 간단한 랜드마크 투어와 여유를 함께 즐겼습니다. 가이드가 제일 좋아하는 식당을 추천받고 함께 카페에 들러 한잔하는 여유를 즐기는게 정말 큰 행복이었습니다. 잊지 못할 추억이었습니다.
